Ci abbiamo provato cantando distanti, ciascuno dal proprio balcone, ma è mancato sempre qualcosa.
Allora abbiamo cercato un modo per farlo insieme, come accadeva anche solo un mese fa, da molti anni.
Emozionati e commossi, ci siamo stretti virtualmente e abbiamo intonato la nostra grande preghiera: Baba Yetu (scritto da Christopher Tin), che significa “Padre nostro” in lingua Swahili.
Il canto non si ferma, annulla le distanze e porta con sé tutta la speranza del mondo.
Superiamo ostacoli. Stiamo a casa.
Andrà tutto bene.

We tried singing alone, on our balconies, far away from each other, but everytime something was missing.
Then we searched a way to do it together, as it happened just one month ago since so many years.
Virtually tightened in a warm and moving hug, we sang our strongest hymn, “Baba Yetu”, the swahili Lord’s Prayer written by Christopher Tin.
Singing never stops, heal rifts and carries along all the Hope in the World.
Overcome barriers.
